What is your signature?

The words that come to mind to define my work are simplicity, spontaneity, truth, freshness and precision.

What do you find fun about your job ?

The privilege of being able to undertake these wonderful trips. I adore the shots of the houses, flats, gardens, and mansions of which the architecture and design give me inspiration very often, in tandem with the team work effect. For us, this work opens the doors to marvellous hidden paradises. Access to all these exceptional things is a stroke of good luck and an inexhaustible source of inspiration !

What inspires you?

Inspiration is a surprise, which can materialize suddenly and from all types of sources : a condition, a painting, a word, a person, a color, or indeed a picture...

And the job that you won’t forget?

A trip to Stockholm, my first job with Andreas Sjödin, 30 pages of a Doutzen fashion special and the suitcase with my work kit that failed to arrive. In the end it was fantastic to perform just using my hand, a little brush, a few hair grips and old hairdryer found in a drawer.

What do you see as modern in today’s hairstylism ?

In my view modernity does not boil down to a style. It’s the story of culture and knowledge. Knowledge of the history of fashion and its iconic periods is precious. And finally the ability to play with and mix all these references !
